Spring is in the Air!

Ahh spring time! We can't wait for the grass to green and the flowers to bloom. As the weather warms so does our desire to be outside with our pets. Are your pets ready to spend more time outdoors? Do they have protection against three pests that can kill them? Fleas, ticks and heartworms can all kill your pet.

Last year was a horrible year for flea populations and they will be back in full force again this year. The adult flea may die in harsh weather but they have laid thousands upon thousands of eggs in your yard that are just waiting for a little sunshine and moisture to hatch.

Many people are confused as to which products work best for their pets. I recommend talking to our staff to help you figure out which are safe and effective for your dog and cat based on his or her age, breed, activity level, health status etc.

Products available include oral pills and pour-on topical treatments. We now have a pill that controls fleas and ticks for 3 months. We also have pills and topicals that combine the flea preventative with the heartworm preventative. I suggest starting your preventative medications in March this year if you have not already done so.
