The "Beneful" Controversy

Sometimes information comes to us in a manner that is clear and easy to understand. The following handout is one such piece of material. This is a very clear explanation of the uses of propylene glycol and ethylene glycol, the differences between them and the health consequences resulting from the use of each. The soft and chewy "dry" foods, like Beneful by Purina, are formulated with propylene glycol which helps keep the "soft and moist" food soft and moist.
